Coach Velez has coached VHS Volleyball for 18 years. Jose’ earned his degree in Business Administration and completed a certification in Spanish K-12 at the University of Puerto Rico. He also has his Masters degree in ESOL. Coach Velez currently teaches Spanish at VHS. Jose’ is also a hitting coach for the VHS Varsity Baseball Team of which he has been a part of for 21 years. Jose is married to Betzaida and has two children, Yazmin and Ruben.
