This Texas native began playing indoor and sand tournaments then,
after a long hiatus, he resumed coaching Sand VB in 2011 and indoor
soon after. Coaching teams from 12-18, it is his desire for each athlete
to learn the fundamentals of volleyball, to grow in their own personal
abilities, to be the best teammate on and off the court, and learn to
overcome obstacles to their success. In the face of challenges, players
learn life skills taking them beyond the game of volleyball.

David is married to his wife, Stacy, and father to two daughters: Serena,
a Senior on the Gardner-Webb Volleyball team, and Summer, who is a
Venice Volleyball Alumni and will be continuing her volleyball career at
USC Upstate this fall.
