Coach Barton starting Coaching in 2010 at Rock Hill Volleyball Club with their 14's & 15's teams. Moved to Charlotte and coached with Carolina Union Volleyball Club (CUVC) for four years. At CUVC, he started the first strength and conditioning/injury prevention program for a Volleyball club in Charlotte. While there he coached teams from 12's-18's, along with putting on a variety of elite positional camps. At CUVC they had a lot of success during tournaments winning an AAU bid for our 16's, 17's, and 18's teams. His favorite achievement was winning gold at Porter Ridge High School for a  year leading them to their first ever conference championship and first ever playoff wins. He met his wife, whom was part of Coach Wheatley's first team at Venice, in Charlotte and she drug him down to Florida where he coached varsity at Cardinal Mooney for a year. When life took them to Charleston, he started assisting at Wando High School for the next 2 years. In Charleston, he coached for two years at Palmetto Strikers Volleyball Club with the 15's and 18's teams. His work ended up taking them up to Columbia, South Carolina shortly after the birth of their first. They have had a second child since then and are welcoming a third here in November.
