Coach Grayson started coaching in 2010-2011, he was coaching
at Carolina Union Volleyball Club when he met his wife Lori Barton
(Sandburg) who is a native of Venice, FL in 2015. They were rival
coaches for about 2 years before realizing they should come together,
so they packed up and moved to Venice in 2016 . They were married
in 2017 and ended up moving to Charleston, SC were they both
coached at Wando High School for the JV team and continued their
career with Club volleyball. They welcomed their first child in January
2020, Ronan, and enjoyed being parents that they decided to welcome
another child in July of 2021, Hurlee. In Spring of 2022, they both
decided they wanted to move back to warmer weather and continue
coaching volleyball, so they relocated back to Venice. Grayson started
coaching for VHS and Lori continued to be a school counselor for the
high school. They welcomed their third child in October 2023, Cian and
both are coaching club for the area.
