Coach Jay Lanham is a Venice, Florida, native, and has coached volleyball for over 25 years. He will be starting his first yearr as Head Coach of the Venice High Volleyball team. Coach Lanham is a graduate of Venice High and has been a member of the Venice High Volleyball coaching staff as well as a teacher in Sarasota County since 2003. Coach Lanham currently teaches Physical Education at Venice High and received his Physical Education degree at Anderson University where he met his wife, Marla. They are the proud parents of three children, Maylee, Jayda, and Ty and proud grandparents of Parklyn. He started his volleyball coaching career as a student assistant at Anderson University where his daughter, Jayda, will be continuing her volleyball career this fall.
